| Every year at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Washington, D.C. there is a passion retreat before Holy week. The purpose of the passion retreat is to get away from the world and to prepare ourselves for the most important spiritual time of the year. The talks given at this retreat are intended to educate, uplift and prepare those in attendance for the events of Holy week and how to benefit from this most precious time. The theme of this passion retreat was experiencing the Passion of Christ in our lives and focuses heavily on Mel Gibsons movie The Passion of the Christ. The talks are entitled Outrageous Love, Complete Forgiveness, Experiencing Everlasting Life, and Experiencing the Passion and the Resurrection. |
