Treasures of the Fathers - The Feast of the Cross

This book is part of the Treasures of the Fathers of the Church series, on the Feasts of the Cross, which are celebrated in the Coptic Orthodox calendar on 17 Tout (September 27 or 28) and 10 Baramhat (March 19).

 

This volume consists of eight chapters.  After presenting the readings for these feasts, the next chapter contains a thorough introduction to the Feast by our beloved father, HH Pope Shenouda III.  The following chapters include various excerpts from historical accounts of the finding of the Cross, as well as theological and biblical meditations on the Cross by the Fathers of the Church, with a special segment by one of the Catechetical Homilies attributed to St. Cyril of Jerusalem.
