The Life of St. Antony the Great - حياة القديس أنطونيوس الكبير
St. Athanasius (c. 396-373 A.D.), the 20th Pope of the Coptic Church, is considered as the first biographer of St. Antony The Great. In his Vita Antonii he wrote what he himself knew and what he was able to learn from him. He stressed that he was his attendant for a long time, and poured water on his hands. [i.e. his personal attendant as Elisha did with Elijah, see 2 Kings 3:11]. Note: This book has 20 pages in English along with 20 pages in Arabic. |
