The First Hour from the Prayer Book of Hours

The first hour prayer from the Agpeya commemorates the hour in which our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. It is prayed in the morning after rising from sleep to thank God for the beginning of a new day and to glorify Him in His Resurrection.
