Since the First Issue of this book Essays for Orthodox Youth:  Topics for Everyday Christian living in 1994, the LORD has shown His greatness in the life of the Church in Egypt and the whole world.  Many people came to know our LORD, God and Savior as the LORD of their life, their Holy Salvation.  The service in all the Coptic Churches outside Egypt are increasing in the use of local language and are more appealing to the non-Egyptian as well to complete the Universality of the Coptic Church, my mother.  Also just before the turn of the century and the beginning of the new millennium two major events happened in world communications:  Internet Chat Rooms such as PLATALK and Satellite TV have become in common use around the world.  Through these new means, many from the other fold started to hear the message of Salvation through the Blood of Christ and that Jesus is not just a prophet of “Allah” but He is God Incarnated and became man.  He was born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin St. Mary.  He became man.  He lived in our world for 33 ½ years.  Healed the sick, cleansed and healed the leper, opened the eyes of the blind, and created eyes for the one who was born without eyes.  He raised the dead and is standing at the door of my heart and yours, knocking.  So, when open; he comes and dines with us.  He took what is ours (sin and despair) and gave us what is his (Purity, and life everlasting).  He made us his sons and daughters and not his slaves and servants.  So, as I prepare the second issue of this Essays for Orthodox Youth (young and old), I am encouraged that he is coming soon and his wages are with Him.  And He will reward everyone according to his deeds.
