Saint Irene
From The Lives of the Saints #4
St. Irene was born into a pagan family. Her father was King Likinyah. She was the only child that survived for her parents. She was called Pinaluyah. She lived for fifty days following her last torture. She bid St. Timothy good bye. Then she went to Ephesus for a short while and died on the 21st day of Misri.
The church presents the story of Saint Irene, a model of a righteous life filled with faith and sufferings; one of the many in a long line of saints that continues the Acts of the Apostles.
